Work & Experience
a. Support emergency case management to ensure safe and protection b. Facilitate age-appropriate group PSS sessions for different targeted groups c. Hold regular information sessions for targeted population and individual cases in close coordination with senior counselor, MHPSS actors and Protection team. d. Facilitate safe and confidential referrals to other service providers. e. Ensure follow up case in regular basis. Ensure domiciliary follow ups and sessions in regular basis. f. Monitoring cases in regular basis, observing and evaluating treatments and responses weekly through focus group session; advocating for needed Services. g. Maintains clients' records by reviewing case notes; logging events and progress. h. Prepares weekly reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing treatment and results data and trends as per MHPSS tools. i. Scaling up the presence of MHPSS at health posts and community level. j. Conducting group session, awareness sessions and guarantee mainstreaming of MHPSS into the health response. k. Contribute in the process of training community focal points on mental health promotion, core concepts and safe referrals l. To perform and other duties as may be needed and agreed with the Senior Counselor and MHPSS Project Officer.
I am working with IOM-MHPSS team from last 02/09/2018 as a Community Focal Point (MHPSS) at 2w and Camp 3. As a Focal Point my duty is mainly community based and also help (Link with different NGO and faculty) our Social Worker, Senior Counselor at health facility. My main work is to promote mental health and psychosocial wellbeing to beneficiary at community label by doing some community-based activity (Healing Ceremony, Art, Craft & Cultural activity, Family Dialogue, Collective Kitchen, Sports & Recreational, Non-Formal Education, Socio Relational activities etc.) with the support of some Community Support Group (CSG) members according to beneficiaries need assessment.
I have to work with Medical Team. Most of the time, have to assist with doctors of OPD and IPD. Every now and then in training room with different groups like new staff’s orientation session, community people and with the volunteers.
I have to work with different team according to my supervisor's (Brenda Escalante, Field Officer) direction. Most of the time I have to work in camp 3 and camp 4 (specially zone OO, PP and DD. I have to visit field every day and contact with Majhi and Rohingya people to solve their problem according to UNICR guidelines. I have to monitor also UNHCR partners' activities and have to contact with respective focal person for solving the issue in respective Zone. I also assist with Education (TLC, CFS), Protection (Including Child Protection, SGBV) team members. After finishing field activities, I had to report to supervisor daily.
